Experienced Surgical and Physician Office Coding Specialist needed, full-time.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Interpret health record documentation for ICD10 and CPT code assignment
• Review reimbursement audit reports
• Ensure data quality
• Validate E/M assigned CPT codes, coding, and billing audits for compliance trending
• Determine educational needs for physicians and staff
• Participate in the development of coding and billing policies and procedures
• Validate the accuracy of the required data elements

Computer Equipment and Software Requirements:

Basic computer skills, knowledge of Excel, Microsoft Word, and internet use

Education and Experience Required:

• Credentialed Certified Coder through AAPC or AHIMA
• 3-5 years surgical coding experience
• Knowledge of NCCI edits
• Excellent attention to detail
